Crown of Ember by Morgan Kincaid (1st book of the Dark Flame Trilogy)
is a great start to the series.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a wild and fun read. Forbidden desire, drama, intrigue, dragons and so much more. Had to watch it all play out. Good story, characters, and a bond that will cause trouble for these two. Had fun reading it. I received an early copy and this is my opinion.

This is an incredibly unique story. The author is a great storyteller. It is fast moving and you can't put it down. The plot is well thought out. A woman half human and half alien grows up on a ranch in the Midwest. She awakens from a troubling dream and goes out to start her chores by feeding the animals. She is attacked by 3 large figures. She feels a sharp prick in her neck and then darkness. She awakens and finds herself in shackles, lying on the floor of a metal moving vehicle. It crashes and a fire starts. She's
trapped. What comes next is out of this world! Read the book, it's great! Looking forward to the sequel :)

I enjoyed this story and had me laughing at times and watching it all play out. A commoner marries a prince and the drama is high and then magic is thrown in to make things even more chaotic. Good story and fun characters and situations. I received an early copy and this is my opinion.

This book started out slow but picked up speed. I kept turning the pages. This book took me longer to read and was more complexed. Loved reading how Syra and Jexen get together and how they are forced to work together. The future was unclear and you weren’t sure who would win. I was sad about Nyxaris. This book will make you feel many different emotions. I received an arc and the views and opinions are my own.
